Description

Stachon et al developed the Score for predicting mortality for a patient in the surgical intensive care unit. This can help to identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive management. The authors are from Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany.

Parameters:

(1) ALT in IU/L

(2) C reactive protein in mg/dL

(3) total cholesterol in mg/dL

(4) serum creatinine in mg/dL

(5) creatinine kinase MB in U/L

(6) white blood cell count in 10^9/L

(7) potassium in mmol/L

(8) platelet count

(9) triglycerides in mg/dL

(10) age in years
