(1) number of atoms with valence 1
(2) number of atoms with valence 2
(3) number of atoms with valence 3
(4) number of atoms with valence 4
(5) number of atoms with valence 5
(6) number of atoms with valence 6
(7) number of atoms with valence 7
degree of unsaturation =
= 1 + (0.5 * CUMULATIVE SUM((number of atoms at each valence)*((valence)-2)))
