Description

The Collaborative Corneal Transplantation Studies Research Group developed criteria for the diagnosis of corneal graft failure. The authors are from multiple universities in the United States.


 

Criteria for corneal graft failure - both of the following:

(1) one or both of the following:

(1a) need for regraft

(1b) cloudy cornea with central opacity sufficient to interfere significantly with vision for 3 or more consecutive months

(2) The loss of the corneal graft was not due to an operative complication (choroidal hemorrhage, major trauma, etc)
