Lambers et al reported criteria for the diagnosis of incomplete systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The authors are from University Medical Center Groningen in The Netherlands.
Criteria for incomplete SLE - all of the following:
(1) serum ANA titer >= 1:80
(2) one or more of the following (according to SLICC classification):
(2a) acute or subacute cutaneous lupus
(2b) chronic cutaneous lupus
(2c) oral or nasal ulcers
(2d) alopecia
(2e) synovitis
(2f) serositis
(2g) neurologic manifestations
(2h) renal manifestations
(2i) 2 or more of the following:
(2i1) hematologic manifestations (hemolytic anemia, leukopenia, absolute lymphocyte count < 1,000 per µL, platelet count < 100,000 per µL)
(2i2) immunologic features (anti-dsDNA; anti-Sm; antiphospholipid antibodies; low complement; positive direct Coombs test)
(2i3) positive family history of autoimmune rheumatologic disease
(3) not meet criteria for SLE (ACR 1997 or SLICC 2012)
