Criteria of Judson et al for the Diagnosis of Cardiac Sarcoidosis

Cardiac involvement in sarcoidosis can be diagnosed if certain features are present.

Requirements:

(1) biopsy-confirmed sarcoidosis

(2) exclusion of other conditions

(3) one or more findings listed below

Parameters:

(1) cardiomyopathy

(2) ECG

(3) cardiac scan

cardiomyopathy	responsive to sarcoid-directed therapy	present with absence of other cardiac disease	diabetes and/or hypertension present
ECG	intraventricular conduction defect or nodal block	ventricular arrhythmia in the absence of other cardiac disease	ventricular arrhythmia with diabetes and/or hypertension
cardiac scan	positive gallium scan; positive PET scan	positive thallium scan	NA
