A hypotensive reaction involves a drop in systolic and/or diastolic blood pressure from baseline >= 10 mm Hg.

Implication of apheresis as the cause requires exclusion of other causes:
(1) drop in blood pressure due to pharmacologic control of hypertension
(2) hypotension due to sepsis, drug reaction or other cause
