Description

The CreLiMAx score is associated with the prognosis for a patient with cirrhosis. The authors are from Klinikum Charite Berlin, University of the Saarland, the Berlin Institute of Health and Evangelisches Krankenhaus Paul Gerhardt Stift in Germany.

Parameters:

(1) LiMAx in µg/kg/h (maximum liver function capacity, based on hepatocellular-specific metabolism of IV 13C-methacetin, which is metabolized by hepatocyte cytochrome P450 1A2)

(2) serum creatinine in mg/dL

CreLiMAx =

= (-0.532 * LN(LiMAx)) + (1.373 * LN(creatinine))

Parameters for probability of survival with S0(t):

(1) decimal fraction for survival for time period (t)

(2) mean CreLiMAx for population (differs for viral, alcoholic, biliary or other types of cirrhosis)

(3) patient CreLiMAx

X =

= EXP((patient CreLiMAx) - (mean patient CreLiMAx))

decimal fraction for survival for time period =

= (decimal fraction)^X

Performance:

The area under the ROC curve is 0.83.
