Description

A person with absolute power has the power to behave badly, especially if the person is a psychopath.

Parameters:

(1) moral compass and personality of a person who attains power

(2) extent of power

(3) consequences of negative behavior that cause the person to restrain behavior

 

A person is likely to become corrupted by power:

(1) no moral compass or conscience

(2) psychopath, narcissist or other personality tending towards bad behavior

(3) unrestricted and unlimited power

(4) no consequences if the person behaves badly, so the person is unrestrained

 

Power can be addictive, and the addict often craves more.
