Description

A person who has been exposed to a potentially serious communicable disease may be placed under controlled movement restrictions during the incubation period.


 

Controlled movement refers to restrictions placed on a person’s movement.

 

The person is not permitted:

(1) to travel by a commercial long-distance carrier (airplane, bus, etc)

(2) to travel on local public transportation unless cleared by the local public health authority

 

A person may travel by private chartered carrier or private vehicle provided other people in the transport are protected.

 

In addition:

(1) any monitoring of the patient must not interrupted.

(2) the location of patient should be known at all times
