A number of conditions may be associated with a false negative diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) on an electrocardiogram (ECG).
Conditions that may be associated with a false negative ECG diagnosis of AMI:
(1) right ventricular pacing
(2) left bundle branch block (LBBB)
(3) prior myocardial infarction with Q-waves and/or persistent ST-segment elevation
