Hash oil and marijuana wax are plant extracts with extremely high concentrations of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Their use has been associated with number of psychological problems.
Patient selection: user of marijuana wax
Complications:
(1) delirium or confusion
(2) psychosis
(3) paranoia
(4) catatonia
(5) impaired memory
(6) agitation
Heavy use may be associated with psychologic dependency, with withdrawal possible on discontinuation.
In addition, there may be risk of chemical inhalation from pesticides or chemicals used for the extraction.
