Complications of hip dislocation may include:
(1) post-traumatic arthritis
(2) avascular necrosis (AVN)
(3) hetertopic ossification
(4) nerve injury
(5) persistent pain
(6) altered gait
(7) need for surgery if irreducible or if femoral or acetabular fractures are present
