Description

Simkens et al reported the Colorectal Peritoneal Metastases Prognostic Surgical Score (COMPASS). This can help in the evaluation of a patient with colorectal cancer metastatic to the peritoneum. The authors are from Catharina Hospital Eindhoven and Erasmus MC in The Netherlands.


Patient selection: metastatic colorectal cancer to the peritoneum

 

Management: cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC (hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy)
