A person who has become addicted to methcathinone (described below) may undergo a withdrawal syndrome.

The withdrawal syndrome may include:

(2) hypotension

(3) lethargy

(4) irritability

(5) miosis

(6) craving for sweets

(7) coryza

(8) myalgia

(9) muscle spasms

The bradycardia and hypotension of withdrawal need to be distinguished from the transient symptoms that follow acute intoxication.

A person who has abused methcathinone may also have abused other drugs, resulting in a mixed withdrawal reaction.
