Clinical features:

(1) persistent hoarseness with slow progression to stridor

(2) dyspnea

(3) difficulty breathing which may progress to airway obstruction

(4) chronic cough

(5) recurrent pneumonia

(6) dysphagia

(7) failure to thrive

(8) cyanosis

 

Family history:

(1) affected siblings

(2) maternal genital HPV disease

 

Differential diagnosis:

(1) vocal nodules

(2) subglottic stenosis

(3) tracheomalacia

(4) subglottic hemangioma

(5) subglottic cyst

(6) vocal cord paralysis
