Description

Inhalation of hydrogen telluride gas causes signs and symptoms that differ from other forms of telluride intoxication.


 

Clinical findings:

(1) irritation of oral and mucosal membranes

(2) respiratory irritation with coughing and bronchospasm

(3) hemolysis

 

Seriour intoxiciations may be associated with:

(1) hemoglobinuria and jaundice

(2) acute renal failure with anuria

(3) acute pulmonary edema
