Description

A woman with urethral diverticulum may present with a number of clinical findings. Some findings are nonspecific and there may be a delay in diagnosis.


Classic 3D's (all 3 seen in 5%; 0 seen in 27%):

(1) dysuria

(2) dyspareunia (most common)

(3) postvoid dribbling

 

Other complaints:

(1) stress urinary incontinence

(2) recurrent urinary tract infections

(3) tender anterior vaginal wall mass

(4) vaginal wall tenderness

(5) urgency
