Description

Schnitzler's Syndrome is a rare form of urticarial vasculitis.


 

Key findings:

(1) urticarial skin lesions

(2) monoclonal IgM gammopathy

(3) leukocytoclastic vasculitis on skin biopsy

 

Associated clinical findings:

(1) lymphadenopathy

(2) intermittent fevers

(3) sensorimotor neuropathy

(4) renal failure

(5) hepatosplenomegaly

(6) osteosclerotic bone lesions with bone pain

(7) arthralgias

(8) myalgias

 

Associated laboratory findings:

(1) elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)

(2) leukocytosis

(3) reduced complement concentrations
