Ways to classify the stalker:

(1) delusional vs nondelusional

(2) level of organization

(3) domestic vs nondomestic

(4) motive

 

Domestic stalker include:

(1) ex-boy or girl friend

(2) ex-spouse

(3) family

 

Motives include:

(1) infatuation

(2) possession (ownership) and need to control

(3) revenge (anger, retaliation)

(4) other

(5) unknown

 

The stalking incident can be classified as to outcome (suicide, court, psychiatric, etc).
