Classification of Sangeorzan et al for Fracture of the Tarsal Navicular

Sangeorzan et al classified fractures of the tarsal navicular bone. The authors are from the University of Washington in Seattle.

Parameters:

(1) fracture plane

(2) deformity of forefoot, with angulation

(3) associated injuries

• The Type 1 fracture may be seen on a lateral foot X-ray and may be missed on antero-posterior films.
