Symptom categories:

(1) storage

(2) voiding

(3) postmicturition

(4) other (discomfort)

 

Storage:

(1) urinary frequency

(2) urgency

(3) nocturia

(4) stress incontinence

(5) other incontinence

(6) leaking during sexual activities

(7) leaking for no reason

(8) nocturnal enuresis

 

Voiding (includes obstructive symptoms):

(1) weak stream

(2) terminal dribble

(3) hesitancy

(4) straining

(5) intermittency

(6) split stream

 

Postmicturition:

(1) incomplete emptying

(2) postmicturition incontinence

 

Other:

(1) dysuria

(2) bladder pain

 

Grading of LUTS may simple (bothersome or not) or complex (Likert scale)
