Description

Griffiths et al classified the severity of abdominal symptoms in a patient with Crohn's disease. This can be used to determine the effectiveness of a therapeutic intervention. The authors are from the Hospital for Sick Children and the University of Toronto in Canada.


 

Patient selection: Crohn's disease

(1) gastrointestinal and extratintestinal symptoms

(2) laboratory findings (erythrocyte sedimentation rate, complete blood count)

(3) need for therapeutic intervention
