Goel et al reported an angiographic classification of Takayasu arteritis. The authors are from multiple institutions in India, the United States and Canada.


Patient selection: Takayasu's arteritis

 

Clusters:

One: abdominal predominant

Two: aortic arch predominant

Three: focal disease

 

Arteries:

(1) right renal (RR)

(2) left renal (LR)

(3) abdominal aorta (AA)

(4) mesenteric (MES)

(5) left carotid (LC)

(6) right carotid (RC)

(7) right subclavian (RS)

(8) left subclavian (LS)

 

Cluster One: Patterns of Involvement (Figure3, 2 positive, with renal artery or aorta):

RR+/LR+

RR+/LR-/AA+

RR+/LR-/AA-/MES+

RR-/LC+/RC-/RS-/AA+

Cluster Two: Patterns of Involvement (2 positive, with carotid artery):
