Chronic graft-versus-host disease may occasionally involve the skin of the penis and scrotum. It probably is under-reported and under-diagnosed.
Clinical features:
(1) history of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT)
(2) presence of graft-versus-host disease elsewhere
(3) skin lesions of the penis and/or scrotum
(4) exclusion of other diagnoses
Penile and scrotal skin lesions may include:
(1) subtle erosions
(2) lichen planus-like lesions (plaques or papulosquamous lesions with white scale, Wickham striae, and violaceous papules)
