Description

Ogasawara et al reported a prognostic score for patients with intermediate stage hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This can identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive management. The authors are from Chiba University and Numazu City Hospital in Japan.


Patient selection: intermediate-stage hepatocellular carcinoma (BCLC stage B without macrovascular invasion or extrahepatic metastasis) with Child Pugh Score 5 to 9
