Cervical angina refers to angina-like chest pain due to a disorder affecting the superior spine.
Clinical features:
(1) chest pain
(2) presence of a disorder of the superior spine
(3) absence of coronary artery disease
(4) disappearance of chest pain with management of the spinal disorder
Spinal disorders associated with cervical angina:
(1) ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament
(2) spinal cord infarction
(3) atlantoaxial instability
(4) herniated cervical or upper thoracic intervertebral disc with nerve root compression
(5) cervical spondylosis
