(8) bromocriptine
Radiation therapy to the abdomen or retroperitoneum
Infection:
(1) histoplasmosis
(2) tuberculosis
(3) actinomycosis
Major surgery to the pelvis or retroperitoneum:
Malignancy or cellular proliferations:
(1) Hodgkin's disease
(2) non-Hodgkin's malignant lymphoma
(3) sarcoma
(4) carcinoid tumor
(5) carcinoma of the stomach or colon
(6) carcinoma of the pancreas
(7) carcinoma of the prostate
(8) breast carcinoma
(9) histiocytosis
Autoimmune disease
Trauma to the abdomen or retroperitoneum
Amyloidosis
If no cause is identified, then it is termed idiopathic.
