A number of drugs are associated with drug-induced hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
Drugs associated with hypersensitivity pneumonitis:
(1) beta-lactam antibiotics (penicillins, cephalosporins)
(2) methotrexate
(3) alpha-interferon
(4) lenalidomide
(5) pravastatin
(6) venlafaxine
(7) temozolomide (an alkylating agent)
The diagnosis of drug-induced hypersensitivity pneumonitis requires a number of findings such as:
(1) exclusion of other causes of hypersensitivity pneumonitis
(2) onset of respiratory symptoms after initiation of drug therapy
(3) improvement after discontinuation of the exposure
(4) deterioration on re-exposure
