Description

A cat reaches maturity faster than a human.

The lifespan of a cat can be up to 21 years or more.

Puberty is seen at 1 year and early adulthood at 2 years.

After 2 years of age the comparable age between humans and cats shows a linear relationship.

For the first 2 years of a cat's life:

comparable human age in years =

= (-2.75 * ((cat age)^2)) + (17.55 * (cat age)) + 0.05

After 2 years of age:

comparable human age in years =

= (4 * (cat age)) + 16

If this equation is rewritten:

comparable cat age after 2 years of age =

= (0.25 * (human age)) - 4
