Description

De Rooij et al evaluated very elderly patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) using classification and regression tree (CART) analysis. They identified patients at risk for increased mortality. The authors are from the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands.


Patient selection: >= 80 years of age
