Description

Neelapu et al developed a grading system to evaluate a patient with CAR (chimeric antigen receptor) T-cell-related encephalopathy (CRES). The authors are from multiple instittutions in the United States and members of the CARTOX (CAR T-cell therapy associated TOXicity) working group.

Patient selection: therapy with CAR T-cell therapy

The grading is based on Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE).

Parameters:

(1) CARTOX-10 score (from 0 to 10)

(2) raised intracranial pressure

(3) seizures

(4) motor weakness
