Description

Chen et al reported 2 scores for evaluating patients with COVID-19 on hospital admission. The CANPT score helps to identify disease severity for the patient. The authors are from Hubei University, China Three Gorges University, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and affiliated institutions in China.

Patient selection: COVID-19 on admission

CANPT is an acronym for comorbidity/CK/creatinine, albumin, NLR, platelet count and temperature/total bilirubin.

Parameters on admission:

(1) comorbidity (hypertension, diabetes, stroke, cancer, chronic liver disease, chronic kidney disease, chronic lung disease)

(2) highest temperature in °C

(3) neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR)

(4) platelet count in 10^9/L

(5) serum albumin in g/L

(6) total bilirubin in µmol/L

(7) serum creatinine in µmol/L

(8) serum CK in U/L
