Cannabis concentrate can be prepared in a number of ways. The resultant product contains a high concentration (80% or more) of THC.
One common method involves passing butane through chopped up marijuana in a column ("blasting"). The butane extracts the THC (plus other chemicals). Butane is highly volatile, so allowing the extract to stand in air results in a crystalized resin (butane hash oil or BHO). Dual extraction adds a wash of the extract with alcohol.
Complications of the process: fire with burns
Dabbing is inhaling vapors made from the extract.
Complications associated with the use of cannabis concentrate:
(1) psychosis
(2) uncertain pulmonary toxicity if inhaled by vaping
(3) other substance abuse
