Description

Komura et al reported the CANLPH score for predicting the outcome following surgery on a patient with renal cell carcinoma. This is based on an integrative model of systemic inflammation and nutritional status (SINS). The authors are from multiple institutions in Japan and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Patient selection: renal cell carcinoma, undergoing surgical resection

Parameters:

(1) serum CRP in mg/L (C)

(2) serum albumin in g/dL (A)

(3) absolute neutrophil count per microliter (N)

(4) absolute lymphocyte count per microliter (L)

(5) platelet count per microliter (P)

(6) hemoglobin in g/dL (H)

(7) gender

CRP to albumin ratio =

= (CRP) / (albumin)

neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio =

= ANC / ALC

platelet to hemoglobin ratio =

= ((platelet count) / 10000) / (hemoglobin)
