Does the patient have a large, sliding hiatal hernia?

Are there one or more linear erosions on mucosal folds in the neck of the hiatal hernia?

Does the patient have evidence of acute, chronic or recurrent upper gastrointestinal bleeding?

Does the patient have iron deficiency anemia not explained by another cause?

Does a biopsy from a lesion show a mucosal ulceration and/or ischemic-type change?
