Risk factors for a burn from a car seat heater:
(1) neurologic deficit (paraplegia, diabetic neuropathy, etc)
(2) heater malfunction
(3) intoxication or other cause of impaired consciousness
(4) prolonged, continuous exposure
(5) high heater setting
