The Burden Index of Caregivers (BIC) was developed in Japan based on the experiences of providing care to patients with intractable neurological diseases and stroke.

(2) not enough time for myself
(3) want to delegate care to someone else
(4) very distressed
(5) caregiving does not give me a sense of satisfaction
(6) cannot find the meaning of nursing
(7) my body aches when nursing
(8) my health has been ruined by nursing
(9) public health nurses entering our house is a burden
(10) patient resents receiving public health nursing services
(11) total burden of providing care
