Description

The BRASH Syndrome is an acronym for its key features. Deterioration in renal function sets off a cascade of events.


Key features:

(B) bradycardia

(R) renal failure

(A) AV node blocker (verapamil, diltiazem, carvedilol, other)

(S) shock

(H) hyperkalemia

 

Findings on the ECG may incldue:

(1) sinus bradycardia

(2) peaked T waves

(3) AV block (RBBB, other)
