Gayathri et al reported the Bedside Dengue Severity Score for identifying a child with severe dengue. The authors are from Hospital for Children and Madras Medical College in Chennai, India.

• minimum score: -1.297
• maximum score: 4.71
• A score closer to -1.056 was associated with non-severe dengue.
• A score closer to 2.913 was associated with severe dengue.
• The score has the appearance of a logistic regression model.
Performance:
• The overall predictive accuracy was 0.95.
