AMA Criteria for Permanent Impairment Associated with Metabolic Bone Disease

A metabolic bone disease may cause impairment that can be measured using the AMA criteria.

Parameters:

(1) therapy (hormone, mineral)

(2) activities of daily living (ADL)

Complications:

(1) pain

(2) deformity

(3) peripheral nerve involvement

Late complications with impairment handled by other criteria:

(1) fracture

(2) pain

(3) loss in range of motion or mobility
