A person may try to stowaway on a large airplane by hiding in a wheel well. This can often be a fatal mistake.
Hazards of hiding in an airplane well well:
(1) hypoxia when flying at altitude
(2) decompression
(3) hypothermia (including being frozen solid)
(4) being crushed as the wheel comes up
(5) falling when the wheel deploys for landing
A person who dies in the wheel well may plummet to the ground. The source may not be thought of if the event is not witnessed or if not associated with the landing of an airplane.
