Consequence of the ADR

Level

no intervention or change in drug therapy

1

therapy with drug changed (held, discontinued, etc); no need for an antidote and no increase in length of stay (LOS)

2

antidote given or other treatment as required; no increase in LOS

3

length of stay increased >= 1 day if hospitalized

4

reason for admission to the hospital

4

hospital admission requiring intensive medical care

5

permanent harm to the patient

6

death of the patient, either directly or indirectly

7
