Advanced Lung Cancer Inflammation Index (ALI)

Parameters prior to therapy:

(1) body mass index (BMI) in kg per square meter

(2) serum albumin in g/dL

(3) neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR)

ALI =

= (BMI) * (albumin) / (NLR)

Interpretation:

• The lower the index the worse the prognosis.

• The cutoff for distinguishing better from worse prognosis varies with the condition.
