Description

A male with classical or atypical Kawasaki Disease may present with changes involving the scrotum. Making the diagnosis is important to avoid inappropriate management.


Scrotal manifestations of Kawasaki's disease may include:

(1) acute scrotum (pain and tenderness)

(2) hydrocele

 

Diagnosis:

(1) presence of one or both scrotal changes

(2) presence of other features of classic or atypical Kawasaki Disease

(3) absence of alternative diagnosis that can explain the findings
