Description

Boubaker et al reported the Acute Coronary Syndrome Diagnostic (ACSD) Score for patients with a non-diagnostic ECG and normal serum troponin concentrations. The authors are from Fattouma Bourguiba University Hospital, University of Monastir, and Moknine Hospital in Tunisia.

Patient selection: acute chest pain, non-diagnostic ECG, normal serum troponin concentration

Parameters:

(1) Geleijnse score (06.06.24): from -4 to 20

(2) TIMI Risk Score (06.06.12): from 0 to 7

ACSD score =

= (points for the Geleijnse score) + (points for the TIMI risk score)

Interpretation:

• minimum score: -4

• maximum score: 27

• The higher the score the greater the risk of an acute coronary syndrome.

• The authors state that the best cutoff is 9, but usage indicates that risk was associated with a score >= 10.
