Prencipe et al developed the ACROSCORE to screen patients with pituitary tumor for signs of acromegaly. This can help to identify a patient who may benefit from a more complete evaluation. The authors are from the University of Torino, IRCCS Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri (Milan), University of Messina and Politecnica delle Marche University (Ancona) in Italy.

= SUM(points for all 6 parameters)
Interpretation:
• minimum score: 0
• maximum score: 14
Performance:
• A score >= 6 had a positive likelihood ratio of 16 and negative predictive value of 97.5%
• A score 3 to 5 had a positive likelihood ratio of 2.1 and negative predictive value of 95.9%
