Description

A number of conditions can cause an object to appear bluish in color (cyanopsia).


 

Causes of cyanoopsia:

(1) drugs including methylene blue, oral contraceptives, other estrogen/progesterone compound, sildenafil citrate, digoxin, amphetamine, chloroquine or related compound and deslanoside.

(2) pseudophakia

(3) tertiary syphilis (with optic atrophy)
