The original Mayo score for ulcerative colitis activity is based on 4 parameters. Two subsets are sometimes used, both without endoscopic findings.
Parameters for the original Mayo score:
(1) stool frequency
(2) rectal bleeding
(3) endoscopic findings
(4) physician's global assessment
Parameters for the 9-point partial Mayo Score:
(1) stool frequency
(2) rectal bleeding
(3) physician's global assessment
Parameters for the 6-point partial Mayo Score:
(1) stool frequency
(2) rectal bleeding
