5-Point Score (5PS) Score for PET Scan in a Patient with Malignant Lymphoma (Deauville Scale)

The 5-Point Score (5-PS) can be used to score the uptake of FDG in the PET scan of a patient with malignant lymphoma.

Method: positron emission tomography

Marker: [18F]fluorodeoxyglucose

Parameters:

(1) uptake in initial lesion

(2) uptake in mediastinum

(3) uptake in liver

(4) other at other site(s)

uptake <= (uptake in the mediastinum)	2
uptake > (uptake in the mediastinum) AND (uptake <= uptake in liver)	3
uptake > (liver, moderately greater)	4
