Patient selection: suspected IgG4-related disease

 

Criteria for the diagnosis of IgG4-related disease - all of the following:

(1) entry criteria present (see below)

(2) no exclusion criteria

(3) inclusion criteria score >= 20

 

Entry criteria - one of the following:

(1) one of the following:

(1a) enlargement or tumor-like mass in the affected organ

(1b) narrowing of the bile ducts

(1c) aotic thickening or aneurysm formation

(1d) thickening of the bronchovascular bundles in the lungs

(2) pathologic evidence of lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate of uncertain etiology

 

Organs involved may include:

(1) pancreas

(2) salivary glands

(3) pachymeninges

(4) thyroid

(5) kidneys

(6) orbits

(7) bile ducts

(8) lung

(9) aorta

(10) retroperitoneum
